How does God answer prayers? Well, lots of people will tell you about miracles, but when you don’t ask for something specific (when prayer is a conversation, not a plea), how do you know someone was listening?
Well, here’s a case in point. It still blows me away whenever it happens.
Last night my prayer was filled with heartbreak and tears again. “I know what I know, Sovereign God, but I’m ready to stop believing… stop believing that you care about me, about us. I can’t anymore. I’m at the end of what I can bare.”
So this morning (just now), for the first time in weeks, a little voice told me to access the Findhorn/inspiration page (that helped me so much when I was in Joburg learning to be a dog trainer)…
This was today’s message:
“Every soul needs to withdraw from the world from time to time to find that peace that passes understanding. Every soul needs to be stabilized and it can only come about in peace and stillness. Once that inner stability has been established, you can go anywhere and do anything without the outer chaos and confusion affecting you in any way. It is going into the secret place of the Most High. It is finding your oneness with Me, which enables you to go on when you feel you have come to the end of your tether and cannot go a step further. It is those steps taken into the unknown, in faith, in My strength, which works wonders and which change lives. It is those steps which enable the impossible to become possible and bring down My kingdom on earth, that glorious new heaven and new earth. Move always towards this end. Change and change quickly when change is needed. I AM with you always. Draw upon me.”
